Never tell us the odds
Bringing a bold new vision to the City of Los Angeles
Client:
Lucas Museum of Narrative ArtLocation:
Los Angeles, CACo-founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art will be the first museum to focus exclusively on visual storytelling.
We worked closely with the Lucas Museum team to coordinate public and thought-leader outreach during the site selection processes in either Los Angeles or San Francisco.
Following the selection of Exposition Park in LA, our team worked with the Museum leadership, legal counsel and strategic partners to build broad consensus for the site’s approval.
The 11-acre campus will include extensive new green space and the museum’s 300,000-square-foot main building. Designed by renowned architect Ma Yansong, the complex will feature galleries and learning spaces, two theaters, and areas for dining, retail, and events.
The Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved the entitlements for the Museum on June 27, 2017. Construction of this unique project is expected to be completed and opened in 2025.
